The NYC Breastfeeding Leadership Council is sponsoring our

Annual Breastfeeding Conference on

Monday, June 20, 2011

8 AM – 4:30  PM

at Harlem Hospital Center

Keynote Speaker:  Nils Bergman,MD, MPH, PhD

presenting on:

The Neurobiology of Breastfeeding

and

Skin to Skin Contact 

We expect to offer 7.0 L-CERPS and RD CEU’s.

There will be a $55 Registration Fee.

Walk-ins will be allowed.  Registration fee after June 15 is $70.

This conference is designed for MD's, IBCLC's, CLC's, RD's, RN's, breastfeeding professionals, nutritionists and breastfeeding peer counselors who work in hospital, clinic, WIC and community settings.

NYC Breastfeeding Leadership Council



The New York City Breastfeeding Leadership Council (NYCBLC) is an organization that brings together representatives of local organizations involved in breastfeeding promotion.  The NYCBLC was formed in 2003, and works to: 

* Collaborate in efforts to increase breastfeeding initiation and duration rates;

* Identify the need and gaps in breastfeeding initiatives;

* Plan public education strategies;

* Provide training for breastfeeding professionals; and

* Share information on current breastfeeding projects
